The Lucky Horseshoe Pattern

The Selection: Artifacts of the Land At Kempain Family Outfitters, our "Originals" collection is a record of the things we find and the places we explore. Horseshoes are an artifact of the working farms that define the New England landscape. This design bridges the gap between traditional pen-and-ink artistry and high-performance modern protection.

"Living on a property that was once a working farm, I occasionally pull old, rusty horseshoes from the soil while working the land," says Jordan. "There is a specific weight and history to those found objects that I wanted to capture. I sat down to create a digital drawing in a pen-and-ink style to honor that history, and I’m proud of how the technical detail translates to pattern."

The Material Manifesto: Technical Integrity

  • Ink-Work Precision: Every case features high-resolution, UV-protected printing that preserves the fine-line integrity of the original pen-and-ink illustration. The colors are muted and intentional, designed to age as well as the artifacts that inspired them.
  • Lexan Structural Integrity: Constructed with an impact-resistant Lexan outer shell, this case provides a durable, field-ready shield. It is engineered to withstand the grit of daily use without sacrificing the aesthetic of the studio work.
  • Dual-Layer Suspension: A flexible rubber internal liner acts as a dedicated shock-absorption system, protecting your tool from the vibrations of travel and sudden trail-side drops.
  • The Lay-Flat Standard: An elevated bezel ensures that your screen remains elevated and scratch-free when placed on granite outcrops or uneven work surfaces.
