Leather Care & Longevity
To ensure your leather gear survives the rigors of the trail and the daily commute for a lifetime, follow these simple steps:
Clean Regularly: Wipe away dust and grit with a dry, soft cloth after a long day. For deeper dirt, use a damp cloth and a mild saddle soap, but always follow with a conditioner.
Hydrate & Condition: Every 6–12 months (or if the leather feels dry), apply a high-quality leather conditioner or salve. This "feeds" the fibers, keeping them flexible and preventing cracks.
Natural Drying: If your gear gets soaked on the trail, let it air dry naturally at room temperature. Never use a hair dryer or heater, as artificial heat will strip the natural oils and cause the leather to become brittle.
Embrace the Patina: Scratches and "sunburning" from the trail are part of the story. Most light scuffs can be buffed out with the oils from your own thumb, but deeper marks are simply badges of honor.
Shipping
The Maker’s Pace: Every provision from Bull Sheath Leather is handcrafted to order in their Mansfield, Texas studio. Because these items are built specifically for you rather than pulled from a shelf, please allow a standard crafting time of 2–3 business days before your order is dispatched.
Standard Shipping calculated at checkout: Once your gear is ready, it is shipped via our Standard Shipping service. You will receive a tracking number via email the moment the makers have completed your item and it is scanned in for transit.
The "No Bull" Guarantee: We believe in gear that earns its place in your kit for a lifetime. While these custom-made items are typically final sale, every product is backed by a lifetime guarantee against defects in workmanship and materials. If it fails, we’ll make it right.
Our Boutique Guarantee: At Kempain Family Outfitters, we want you to be certain this tool fits your mission. If you encounter any issues upon arrival, please contact us immediately so we can assist you.
Bull Sheath Leather is a Kempain Family favorite because they understand that a wallet is one of the few things a man carries every single day. It needs to be more than just tough—it needs to get better with age.
Handcrafted in Texas, the Rio Grande is built from premium vegetable-tanned leather—the same grade used in saddle making. Unlike "genuine leather" that peels and cracks, this full-grain hide will darken and develop a rich, personal patina the longer you carry it. It is designed to handle the sweat, dust, and daily wear of an active life without falling apart.
